About Love Africa Missions

Nathan Smith Ministries has been partnering with churches and parachurch organizations since its inception in 2004.  One of Nathan's greatest passions is for men and women who follow Jesus to serve the Lord in missions!  Over the past 15 years, Nathan has had the opportunity to preach internationally in Europe and Africa as well as various other parts of the world!  As a result, God has provided many friends along the way, and some include full-time missionaries serving abroad.

It is an honor to serve God in various parts of the world and we trust that the Lord is not only working the hearts of those that we serve, but also changing the hearts of those serving on our teams. Our desire is that every person that serves on a short-term trip with us will come home with a clear vision and a pure passion to serve right where they live. We also pray that they will have a desire to continue to support full-time missionaries through prayer and financial provision.

Finally, we believe that there will be a select few participants will feel a call to full time missions, that they might go to the ends of the earth to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to those who need to hear!  We are genuinely excited to see YOU get involved in our mission. Come join a team or connect with our team members through prayer and financial support! Please take time to explore the appropriate links for information on our upcoming mission trips to the beautiful continent of Africa!

Upcoming Mission Trips

In 2012, the Love Africa Initiative will send 4 teams to Kenya beginning in late May.  All teams will be visiting the Little Lambs orphan care facility  to work directly with children who have been orphaned by HIV AIDS. We will travel to Kijabe, Kenya, home to the AIM Mission Station, one of the largest mission stations in the world.  On station teams will connect with Kijabe Hospital, CURE Hospital, and Rift Valley Academy, one of the premier schools on the continent!  Some members of our team may also have the opportunity to serve the Massai people down in the Rift Valley and experience true tribal culture. During our stay we will have the pleasure of meeting and working with  incredible missionaries. Our teams will also be teaching and sharing with the orphans, working on new facilities for CURE Children's  Hostpital, and overall encouraging fellow believers. This is sure to be an experience that you will never forget, including a 3-day safari to the Massai Mara, where we  may even witness the wildebeast migration (ONE OF THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD!).

How to Get Involved

If you would like to go on the trip to KENYA, read over the information in the packet and application. Pray about the necessary commitment and see if it is something in which you can have a role. If the answer is yes, then complete the application, have a spiritual leader fill out your reference form, and follow the steps outlined in the KENYA PACKET to be involved. If you are chosen to be a part of the team, we will send you another packet that has information ranging from packing suggestions to ideas for raising funds.

General Information

The estimated trip cost, application deadline, and deposit information are outlined in the downloadable information packet. Other fundraising information and general information about LOVE AFRICA Missions will be sent to you if you are selected to participate on the trip.
